FR3SH Dance Company Dancer
Dancing has always been a big part of Lisa's life. Starting at the age of 4, she studied ballet, tap, and jazz at Center Stage in Somerset, NJ. She began dancing and choreographing with family members at the age of 10 for local church performances. However, it was not until she was 15, that her hip-hop journey would begin as FR3SH's youngest company dancer in 2003. Now 20 years old, Lisa has been an active member for five years and besides working it on the floor, she leads through example as one of FR3SH's Administrative Assistants as well as former Fundraising Chairperson and Financial Director.
Though close to her heart, Lisa's background extends outside of FR3SH, as well. In 2006, she became an original dancer of Future Shock New York and was also Coordinator for Rutgers Dance Troupe for the past three semesters. In addition, she has choreographed for sweet sixteens, school plays, China Nite 13, and various university showcases. In 2007, she became a Hip Hop teacher at Spotlight On Dance in South Plainfield, NJ.
Lisa has performed in cities across the country, including New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston and San Francisco. Some of her most notable performances are "Carnival: The Choreographer's Ball" in 2006 and 2007, Culture Shock D.C.'s "East Coast Dance Competition" in 2006, 2007, and 2008, and most recently, Funkanometry San Francisco's "The Sockhop" in 2008.
