about fr3sh dance company

FR3SH Dance Company began in 2003 when a group of friends came together to perform for New York City's Filipino Independence Day Parade. Yet, what they thought was to be their only performance actually became a stepping stone to creating a unique dance team that not only supported the fundamentals of dance that each member brought to the team, but the values of friendship and teamwork.

Formal Training | Dancers are formally trained in hip hop, jazz, ballet, break-dancing, house, modern, popping, locking, punking, whacking, and voguing from elite companies and renowned instructors from all over the world. Guest teachers have included: Jun Quemado, Gigi Torres, Dennis Caindec, Hanna Herbertson, Kimberly Tam. Ellie Burke, Jef "1F" Mendoza, and Karla Garcia.

Frequent Performance | Dancers regularly participate in industry, international, and competitive events such as The Carnival: Choreographer's Ball, Culture Shock Canada Showcase, and Culture Shock D.C.'s East Coast Dance Competition, in which FR3SH placed 2nd this year. Besides being a higher presence among the collegiate circuit, FR3SH members have also been featured in media such as ABC's Good Morning America and AZN television. Dancing back-up for famed Filipino stars is also frequent.

Friendship + Family | Home is where the heart is and FR3SH is just that - a 2nd home. Applebees. U-Yees. Boom-Cat. BBQ. Christmas Dinner. "Happy Meals." Jumping Pictures. Shank. Hell Night. Sharing. Pot-Luck. Set-Building. Cyphering. These are just some of the fond memories/inside jokes we share.
